           The term CAD/CAM means computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Manufacturing. 

          In the manufacturing industries,the computer is introduced for designing, drawing and manufacturing activities.It starts from the drawing office to the production department,the assembly shop,the quality control etc.

 CAD/CAM is used in many way such as,

 * To produce drawing and document designs. 

 * As a Visual tool by generating shaded image and animated displays. 

 * To perform engine analysis like finite element analysis,mass property calculation and simultation. 

 * To perform Process planning and generate NC part Programs.
